High temperature cables made of organic polymer materials are mainly fluoroplastics and silicone rubber cables
1. Fluoroplastic insulated wire and cable
Fluoroplastics is an important category of plastics. People usually know fluoroplastics from the contact with the king of plastics - polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). In fact, polytetrafluoroethylene is only a kind of fluoroplastics with large output and consumption. The fluoroplastics commonly used for wires and cables are: FEP (commonly known as F46), polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE, PFA), etc.
2. Properties of various fluoroplastics
Fluoroplastic cables mainly include: high-temperature communication cables, high-temperature lead wires and installation wires, high-temperature compensation wires, industrial high-temperature power and control signal cables, radiation resistant cables for atomic reactors and wires for locomotives and vehicles.
3. Silicone rubber insulated wire and cable
Silicone rubber is a polymer material formed by replacing carbon element with silicon element. Silicone rubber has good heat resistance. The silicone rubber commonly used for wires and cables is methyl ethylene silicone rubber, and the working temperature range is - 60 ℃ ~ 200℃。
